General Peter Pace, USMC (Ret.), has served as a Behrman Capital Operating Partner since March 2008. He currently serves as Chairman of Pelican Products and Tresys Technology Holdings and on the board of Corfin Industries. Previously he served on the board of ILC Holdings (DDC).
General Pace served as the 16th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the most senior position in the United States Armed Forces, from 2005 to 2007. Prior to becoming Chairman, General Pace served as Vice Chairman from 2001 to 2005. He also served as Commander in Chief, United States Southern Command in 2000.
General Pace is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, and holds an MSA from George Washington University. He is a graduate of the Infantry Officers’ Advanced Course at Fort Benning, GA; the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, in Quantico, VA; and the National War College, at Ft. McNair, Washington, DC. He holds many personal decorations, including the Defense Distinguished Service Medal (four awards), the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V”; and numerous other Navy and Marine Corps Commendations. In 2008, General Pace was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor a President can bestow.
