BEHRMAN CAPITAL NAMES TOM W. PERLMUTTER PRINCIPAL

NEW YORK AND SAN FRANCISCO, April 30, 2002 - Behrman Capital, a private equity investment firm, today announced that Tom W. Perlmutter has joined the firm as a Principal.

"We are very pleased to welcome Tom Perlmutter to Behrman Capital," said Grant G. Behrman, Managing Partner of Behrman Capital. "Tom brings a broad and successful track record to his new role at Behrman, having led many highly successful investments in the business services and information technology sectors during his 12 year private equity career, most recently at Desai Capital Management. Tom's hallmark is his rigorous and comprehensive fundamental analysis of the companies in which he invests, a trait that complements well the style of analysis we have long employed at Behrman Capital."

"Behrman Capital has built a strong foundation with a combination of industry expertise, business values and research disciplines that are distinctive in the private equity marketplace," said Mr. Perlmutter. "The opportunity to further build upon the firm's superb franchise is an exciting one."

Prior to joining Behrman Capital, Mr. Perlmutter worked at Desai Capital Management, a New York-based private equity firm with a focus on growth companies, where he led investments totaling over $265 million. Notable investments included TeleCorp PCS (an affiliate of AT&T Wireless), Triton PCS (also an AT&T Wireless affiliate), Lender's Service (an information services provider to mortgage originators), Penn National Holdings (a property/casualty insurer) and Network Telephone (a Florida-based broadband service provider). He joined Desai in 1995.

Mr. Perlmutter served as a Director of Columbia Financial Partners from 1993 through 1995, where he sourced, evaluated, negotiated and arranged financing for acquisition opportunities in the financial services and information technology industries. These opportunities included service providers in the banking, insurance, brokerage, asset management, mortgage banking and consumer finance industries.

From 1989 through 1993, Mr. Perlmutter was a Vice President at E.S. Jacobs & Company, where he identified, analyzed, negotiated and arranged financing for both venture capital and management buyout opportunities. During this period, Mr. Perlmutter oversaw the management of several portfolio companies from the expansion stage to mature businesses in a range of industries, including manufacturing and information services providers.

Mr. Perlmutter, 38, began his career as a Financial Analyst in the Corporate Finance Department at Goldman, Sachs, where he served on teams executing public offerings of debt and equity securities and worked on a wide range of merger and acquisition mandates for large corporate clients.

A 1985 graduate of Princeton University, Mr. Perlmutter received a B.A. in Economics, graduating magna cum laude. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. In 1989, Mr. Perlmutter received his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, graduating with Distinction.

Based in New York City and San Francisco, Behrman Capital was founded in 1992 by Darryl G. and Grant G. Behrman. The firm invests in management buyouts, leveraged buildups and recapitalizations of established growth companies and provides expansion capital to emerging growth companies. The company's investments are focused primarily in four industries: information technology, business services, contract manufacturing and outsourcing. The firm currently has a combined capital base exceeding $1.8 billion.
