Our most recent fund began operations
in August 2001 with $1.2 billion of committed capital. Our
investments have historically been focused in the Health Care, Defense,
Specialty Manufacturing, Business to Business Outsourcing, and Information
Technology
industries, all of which provide opportunities for internal or external growth.
The Behrman Capital investment team has
extensive operating and investment experience spanning all phases of the
economic cycle. We work closely with portfolio company managers as
insightful, reliable, disciplined and committed partners. Our broad
network of relationships with individuals and institutions adds a
significant dimension to the resources that our companies use to fuel
their growth.
The majority of our limited partners are institutions, including BankAmerica, the Bank of Nova Scotia, AXA, Partners Group, Hamilton Lane Fund of Funds, Illinois State Board, Kansas Public Employees’ Retirement System, MetLife, New York State Common Retirement Fund, Nordea, Pfizer Retirement Annuity Plan, Pohjola, Sampo, Wilshire Associates and The National Geographic Society.

Behrman
Capital is a private equity investment firm with more than $2.0 billion
of capital under management. Founded in New York in 1991 by brothers
Grant G. Behrman and Darryl G. Behrman, the firm invests in management
buyouts, leveraged buildups and recapitalizations of established growth
companies.
In 1996 William M. Matthes joined the firm to open the San Francisco
office.
